Designing a penthouse oasis. The garden is designed to be viewed from the interior as well as enjoyed from the decks. Layers of planting from ground level, planter boxes and trees create a lush environment designed to cool down the built environment.
The plant schedule is selected to adapt to the windy and sun exposed environment. Cascading prostrate rosemary falls down the edges of the planters. Silver leaf species tolerate the sun. Feature pots are strategically placed and frames by windows from the inside.
Monash University Courtyard, Victoria
Creating an outdoor environment for the staff and clients of the Legal services department.
The outdoor space is designed to connect and draw people into the space while enhancing the newly built building. The landscape is designed around the established Eucalyptus tree which is the focal point. Built on several levels the design provides areas for recreation, socialising and relaxation. The plant species selected enhance the architecture and area while providing a sustainable, low maintenance character.
Dementia therapy garden, Baptcare Whynham, Werribee
This therapy garden is designed for the dementia patients, to ignite the senses and provide therapy, activities and a sense of wellbeing.
The design elements included are sustainability, orientation, accessibility, socialisation, meaningful activity, reminiscence, sensory stimulation and safety.
